Classroom management
A color card system is used in our classroom for behavior management. All students start each day with a green card. If a student breaks one of our classroom rules, his/her card will be changed to yellow. If a student continues to make bad choices, his/her card will be changed to red, then finally blue. Your child's color will be communicated home each day in a log. Please sign this sheet and return it back to school.
We will also be using an app called ClassDojo for classroom management. It allows teachers to give students immediate feedback on their behavior, both positive and negative. Students can earn points for positive behaviors and lose points for negative behaviors. Some positive behaviors include following directions, being on task, and working quietly. Some negative behaviors include shouting out and talking to friends during class.
